We just finished our first Reading text! All 5 mentor texts had a theme of kindness. To wrap up the text set, I re-asked our guiding question for this text set: Why is it important to be kind to others? Students wrote done on a leaf how they have been kind to others and/or how others have been kind to them. As a class, we put our thoughts on a kindness tree!
