Assembly: Matt Wilhelm

Today the third graders were lucky enough to have an assembly that featured world champion BMX bike rider, Matt Wilhelm. Matt talked to the kids about the importance of trying hard and also not giving up. He also helped spread his important anti-bullying message. Ask your child all about the AMAZING tricks he showed them. Many thanks to our wonderful PTA for making this assembly possible.

Landforms & Bodies of Water Project

In Social Studies, the third graders have been learning about certain types of landforms and bodies of water. These include islands, valleys, hills, mountains, plains, rivers, lakes, and oceans. After collecting pictures of these landforms, the children sorted them in class and worked together to make some amazing landform/body of water posters. Enjoy!

4 Types of Sentences Project

The third graders have been learning about the four common types of sentences: declarative (statements), interrogative (questions), exclamatory (exclamations), and imperative (commands)! They have been identifying and punctuating these sentences and creating their own examples. Students were given a random picture and they had to write 4 sentences about the photo (statement, question, exclamation, and command). Ask your child about the sentence project!
