Our STEM unit kicked off with a mystery science lesson about where clouds come from. Students explored the characteristics of several clouds. As well, students learned about how we can predict storms and the differences between weather & climate. In this lesson, students investigated the effects of natural hazards, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and dust storms. They had to design a windproof house that was sturdy enough to survive a wind storm!
